Derek Rayne is immediately attracted to the intelligent and beautiful reporter, Megan Torrence (Tamara Gorski.) She requested and received an interview with the serial killer and was at the execution. Best of all, she can really make Derek smile!

Vendetta -Derek and Kristin head to a small town to investigate several mysterious deaths by strangulation. The spirit of a woman wrongly hanged for murder seeks revenge on those responsible.

The Painting - Derek plays both precept and father-figure in this episode. A patient of Rachel's who has mysteriously disappeared, bequeaths her an eerie painting. Inexorably drawn to the dreamlike painting, Rachel is suddenly sucked inside where she meets its charismatic artist. and Derek has to save her. Kat befriends a classmate (see second pic) who dabbles in The Craft and learns how to cast spells.
